WHAT IF I AM UNDER 16?
No matter what your age is – if you have been sexually active you are still entitled to have a Chlamydia test. We would advise that you attend a clinic that is specially designed for a younger age group, or your GP if you feel comfortable.
If you are worried, talk to a parent, teacher or friend and ask them to go with you if it would help.
It is especially important to know that you should not feel any pressure to have sex, or to have sex with somebody that you don’t want to – or at a time that isn’t right.
Need someone to talk to?
Brook is a specially designed service for young people where experienced nurses can chat with you about all of these issues. Brook is very popular with young men and women and new faces are always welcome.
