BE EXTRA CAREFUL - 'TIGHTEN YOUR TOP' !
Sometimes if the specimen bottle top is not fastened tightly – 'or the tube cracks in the post' your sample can leak on its way to the laboratory. On occasion your sample may be fine but could come in contact with somebody else’s leaked sample, and this can cause contamination risks. When this happens we class your sample/test as insufficient/not tested, and we will contact you to ask for a repeat test using a new urine sample.
